ABOUT
dw ceramics is a studio that makes inspiring, one-of-a-kind objects for everyday living. All pieces are wheel-thrown or hand built by Daphne Wang. Inspired largely by nature, cultural artifacts and visual arts, the objects cross the fields of design, art and craft. Daphne creates her work with intention and flow; aspires to bring relevance of an ancient craft to contemporary everyday living.
BIO
Daphne Wang grew up in Taiwan and Toronto. She graduated from OCAD University’s Industrial Design program and later at Sheridan College’s Craft and Design program. Her work has been shown at The Canadian Clay and Glass Gallery and The Gardiner Museum Shop. She works and lives in Waterloo, Ontario, Canada.
